  I ordered a kebab on a Saturday and had a good conversation with the owner about chillies, I told him that I grow my own specialty varieties and he asked me to bring some in the next day and he would cook us both a kebab using them, so I did and he cooked them up in front of me with all the explanations of why and what he uses for the dish and it was a really good plate of food,. There is a lot more care and knowledge that goes into a kebab from this shop than many people would imagine, a good knowledge of herbs and rarely found vegetables are the secret ( I can't say as it is their recipe ) to a fantastic subtle flavour that no other kebab recipe has in this town. Home made sauces which I have tried and loved are also another factor in their great flavours, I am a chef also so I speak with a degree of experience and after a long week of cooking food for others, a visit to a local take away that actually produces well thought out recipes in the crazy competitive world of fast food in my town was both refreshing and pleasurable.
